A Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence

Magnet designation is a credential earned by health care organizations that have passed rigorous standards related to the quality of care and have demonstrated sustained excellence in nursing care.

The Miriam Hospital was the ninth hospital in the country and the first in Rhode Island to be recognized nationally by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet hospital. Currently, only 6% of health care organizations have achieved this.
