Nursing
research is an integral part of nursing at The Miriam Hospital. All
nursing research is reviewed by the Nurse Executive Committee (NEC) to
ensure alignment with unit, department, organization and system
initiatives. NEC sets standards for integrating evidenced-based research
and new knowledge into operational and clinical environments. Nursing
research is fostered by participation in shared
governance councils and collaboration with clinical experts.
Nurses at The Miriam are innovators in their field who routinely participate in research to advance their professional practice and find ways to continually improve patient care. Our nurses are widely published and frequently present at national and regional symposiums and conferences.
