Laura Goldberg, MD, PhD, is an attending hematologist-oncologist at Rhode Island Hospital and also holds the academic title of clinical assistant professor in the department of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Goldberg has authored many publications, abstracts and peer-reviewed articles in the field of hematology-oncology and clinical cancer research. She also has served as a small group facilitator for the hematology course at the Alpert Medical School. Goldberg is principal investigator on the COBRE CSCB Pilot Project grant for the study of cycling hematopoietic stem cells and presented groundbreaking work in Vancouver at the International Society of Experimental Hematology in August 2011.
Goldberg received her bachelor’s degree at Carleton College in Minnesota and both her medical and post-doctoral degrees in molecular genetics and biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and her fellowship in hematology-oncology at Brown University.
